Perchance a shift from dependence on stats, polls, and marketing churches to actually depending on God's guidance, recognizing individual person's needs, and preaching inspired sermons would help. Realizing that everyone attending a church is not in the 18 - 30 age bracket and usually do not have the same spiritual needs would be plesant and inspiring also.
